Meet the Coaches

Head Coach:  Cindy Brumbaugh  

Cindy has been coaching for 15 years now.  She has coached swimmers ages 6-18.  Cindy was born and raised in Aldan, PA where she grew up with 8 siblings.  Cindy received her Associates Degree from Keystone School of Business in 1979.  In 1995, Cindy began her coaching career at the West Chester Area YMCA.  In 1996, Cindy was an assistant coach at the Kennett Area YMCA for 5 years.  From there, Cindy was an assistant coach at the Upper Main Line YMCA responsible for the Boys "A" Team.  Following her tenure at UMLY, she coached at Malvern Swimming Association for 3 years.  Cindy is an ASCA (American Swimming Coaches Association) Level I coach.  For the past two summers, Cindy was the head coach at Pennypacker Country Club in Downingtown, PA. Cindy has been married for 25 years and has two sons ages 24 and 22.  Cindy is thrilled to be Head Coach for ACAC!

Assistant Coach:  Katie L. DiJiacomo

Katie was born and raised in West Chester, PA. Katie started swimming competitively at 10 years of age.  Katie swam for Waterview Swim Team, Malvern, Golden Ram Aquatics and East High School. Katie qualified for Junior Olympics, District and State level meets.  Katie began her coaching career at the age of 17.  She coached/instructed for Waterview's summer swim team, Future Stars and now ACST/ACAC since 2003.  Katie graduated from East High School in 1998.  In 2002, Katie graduated with honors from Kutztown University and received a BFA in Fine Art Photography.  Katie now lives in Downington with her husband, Chris and son Michael.

Assistant Coach:  Alicia Ciraulo

Alicia is currently a senior at West Chester University, majoring in Psychology in hope of becoming a counselor for young adults.  Alicia has been swimming on teams since the age of seven.  While in high school, Alicia qualified for states in the individual 100 butterfly and swam on relay teams.  Alicia has been instrumental in starting a swimming club at West Chester University; whereas they will compete against other college swim clubs.  Alicia has been teaching swim lessons for 7 years.  Among the places she has taught; Schuylkill Valley High School, Bodyzone, Reading YMCA, Berkshire Country Club and also at West Chester University.  Alicia is looking forward to working with ACST and the opportunity to extend her knowledge of swimming!

Assistant Coach:  Caitlin McNally

Caitlin has been an employee at ACAC for 6 years. During this time, Caitlin has coached, been a lifeguard and also a swim instructor.  Caitlin graduated from West Chester East High School in 2008.  Currently, she is attending Montgomery County Community College. Caitlin qualified for High School Districts each of the 4 years that she was on the high school team.  Caitlin swam the 100 backstroke, 100 freestyle, 200 freestyle, 200 freestyle relay and the 400 freestyle relay.  In the future, Caitlin plans to transfer to West Chester University where she will major in Health and Physical Education.  Welcome aboard Caitlin!

Assistant Coach:  Jeremy Butler

Jeremy began his swimming career at the age of 10 with the Norristown Area Aquatic Club.  Jeremy qualified for "A" Champs each year!  During his high school years, Jeremy was on the team at Norristown Area High School where he qualified for High School Districts in the 100 backstroke, 100 butterfly, 200 IM,  50 freestyle and several relays.  Jeremy also became a state qualifier in the 100 backstroke.  Jeremy currently holds the record at NAHS as a member on the 200 freestyle and 200 medley relay.  During his college days at IUP, Jeremy qualified for PSAC's in both individual and relay events.  Two years later, Jeremy transferred to West Chester University where he qualified for PSAC's in the 100 backstroke, 200 backstroke, 100 butterfly and 200 IM.  Jeremy also qualified for NCAA's in the 100 backstroke!  Jeremy has also taught swim lessons at WCU for two years.  For the past two summers, Jeremy has used his swimming experience and expertise as a lifeguard on the Ocean City Beach Patrol in Ocean City, Maryland.  Jeremy will graduate in 2009 from WCU with a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science.  We are fortunate to have Jeremy with us at ACAC!
